If you’re a mom like me, then you totally know what it’s like to have your mind in three million different places at once. I’m trying to jump between hours of working, coordinating rides for soccer, cooking up dinner plans for the next week, making cookies for the bake sale, and setting up my new business. All of these things can be extremely hectic. Sometimes I find myself just going through the motions, unable to think. It is then when I have to stop myself and take inventory of all of the things that are going on in my life. After this moment, I try to wipe everything out of my mind in an effort to meditate and reset. There is one thing that I do to accomplish this. That thing is breathing. Some of you might just try to power through things day in and day out. This can be effective in a real crunch, but sometimes you will find your self burned out and exhausted. Instead of ignoring your inner body senses, you should try to take some time every day and allow yourself to breathe and decompress. It might be difficult to do if you are someone who considers herself to be a control freak, but trust me, I am one too and I find time to meditate every day. Just take a few deep breaths and feel the stress leave your body. Try it!
